Honor

Honor was discovered by a motorist as she lay on the side of the road in excruciating pain. She had two broken legs she sustained when hit by a car. Extremely malnourished, it was obvious to the responding Animal Control Officer Honor had been living on the streets for some time. Animal Control contacted Carpathia Paws Inc. (CPI) who responded immediately to rush Honor to a veterinarian hospital. With the help of a Medical Emergency Grant provided by the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, Honor received surgery to repair her broken legs. With a wagging tail and kisses for everyone, the Vet Tech who assisted in Honor’s surgery fell in love with her sweet disposition and decided to foster Honor herself. In the daytime, Honor was able to spend her healing time under observation at the vet’s office and in a loving foster home environment with the Vet Tech at night.

Completely healed, Honor now spends her days running, playing and swimming as she pleases while she awaits her forever home. At ten months old, she still has her entire life ahead of her. A volunteer with CPI wrote to us to say, “With patience, compassion and the will to take a chance, anything is possible. Honor is so happy and healthy and it is a wonderful feeling knowing she has a full life ahead of her!”

October 2014 Update: Honor has been adopted into a forever home.
