The Ian Somerhalder Foundation Emergency Medical Care Grant for Animals was launched on February 14, 2014 because our founder realized the need for a grant program which could act quickly to provide funding to help animals rescuers with emergency medical costs. Over the past six years our grant team has worked seven days a week, providing over $535K in grant funds to almost 2,500 animals in need. It has been inspiring to work alongside heroic individuals, rescues and shelters who work in the trenches of animal rescue every day. We are incredibly proud to have been a part of so many stories of hope and healing.
During this time of financial uncertainty in our world market, ISF will be retiring this program service at the end of March, 2020. Please visit our other fundraising options page for ideas to raise needed funds.
It has been an honor to be a part of these precious creatures lives as well as their rescue stories for six successful years. Thank you for all of your hard work to be their voice.
